Dont' fret sis, three are a media company, not a telco (this is their pitch, not mine), a recruiter from the UK tried to get me to go for a content producer job based in Maidenhead in the UK a few weeks back - so there's always the chance of growing in the company.

This is the "from the ground up" stuff - get to know the customer, and you'll three will soon realise what an asset a Cochrane can actually be!

Congratulations. There are loads of jobs in Three that would suit what you want and what you want to do with your degree. Think of this role as a stepping stone - to learn the business and the company inside out, then you apply for internal roles that are more like your 'perfect job.' Stay positive hun, and remember the power of visualisation. i'm serious !

Thats a major bummer sinead, I was sorry to read that. Your friend Jenny is right a change in scenery is a really good thing, I did the same thing last year. It's funny that you mention the whole sales/I have a degree thing, I've just been talking about that the past couple of days. The whole thing is very frustrating, and I've been out 2 years. People tell me a masters is essential to get anywhere these days, and it's seeming more true a statement the more I look around me. It looks like I'll have to go down that path, even though I've been doing loads of things since college. Maybe time outside the system is good though, it's all up to what you want to actually do Sinead, if going back to college doesn't sound appealing then that time there is gonna be crap. But good luck in the new job anyhow.

Thanks Jenny - hope you're job new job is keeping you busy and wealthy! Man, retail really CAN be soul destroying - people underestimate how stressful working in a shop really is. I've learned a lot of valuable lessons though.

This new change of scenery will be nice... but I'd give anything to work Monday-Friday 9-5, a small sad dream, I know.

What a load of balls! They don't know what they're missing by not employing you!!
And, from personal experience, retail is soul destroying. Its so lovely to be in a proper Monday to Friday job, with responsibilities and no bloody customers shouting at you!
But congrats on the new job, a change of scenery is always good! woo!
