This is the "from the ground up" stuff - get to know the customer, and you'll three will soon realise what an asset a Cochrane can actually be! Your friend Jenny is right a change in scenery is a really good thing, I did the same thing last year. It's funny that you mention the whole sales/I have a degree thing, I've just been talking about that the past couple of days. The whole thing is very frustrating, and I've been out 2 years. People tell me a masters is essential to get anywhere these days, and it's seeming more true a statement the more I look around me. It looks like I'll have to go down that path, even though I've been doing loads of things since college. Maybe time outside the system is good though, it's all up to what you want to actually do Sinead, if going back to college doesn't sound appealing then that time there is gonna be crap. Man, retail really CAN be soul destroying - people underestimate how stressful working in a shop really is. I've learned a lot of valuable lessons though.
