Thanks for the advice Dave. I think my entire site needs an overhaul to be honest. It\'s been 2 years since I changed the design in any way. I like the idea of Apple and Meteor/Eircom pairing up. Imagine being able to access all those sweet Eircom Hotspots from every iPhone? People would eat that offer up. Glenn - it\'s great that there is unlimited data on AT&T, and no fair usage policy (that\'s subject to change though - as AT&T have been known in the past to cut off heavy users of their unlimited services). Robert - O2 in the UK have offered their version of \"unlimited\" data, which will be restricted to a fair usage policy of 200MB per month. A total disgrace to call that unlimited in my opinion. Whether they\'ll have the same deal here (assuming the iPhone will actually launch on O2 in Ireland) is something we\'ll have to just wait and see.

I believe, although I’m not quite sure, that the iPhone package being rolled out in the UK comes with ‘unlimited’ free data. It might well be the same over here, too.

I suspect Apple would be reluctant to partner with anyone not providing unlimited data, because it would discourage people from using the iTunes store, which is now available on the phone.

Great article Sinead and good call on the O2 data rates. I think if Apple wanted to get teh most coverage, especially with WIFI, they should have went with Meteor For reasons you already stated).

Also, just an FYI, your RSS feed is a little messed up in Google reader. (Shows long encoded URL rather than RSS title).
