About Me
I like to blog about technology, psychology, cyberpsychology, things that I like (there are quite a few) and random annoyances occurring in my life (that part is like therapy to me). I do like to photo-blog sometimes, but I’m probably better with words
Professional
I’m currently studying a M.Sc. in Cyberpsychology in IADT (part-time), having graduated in 2006 from the same institute of technology with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology Applied to Information Technology. I wrote my undergraduate thesis on the psychological effects of online pop-up advertisements, which you can view here: Pointless Pop-Ups, and my postgraduate research is interested in investigating the behaviour and attitudes of Irish bloggers, and the readers of Irish blogs.
I’m currently working in ICT for the Health Service Executive in their mental health section. Eventually I would like to secure myself a position within the technology sector. My dream job would be as a User Experience Researcher, usability engineering has always been of interest to me and ultimately I would very much like to be involved in research and development within I.T. For now though, I’m perusing my educational needs and seeking out experience in the I.T sector.

Personal
I have a deep appreciation for literature, modern art, good conversation (well - constructive arguments) and REALLY good music. I’m a big fan of the Irish indie music scene and PhantomFM provides the soundtrack to my life.
I’m very passionate about technology and proudly declare my nerdiness for all things internet or gadget related, and (like any self respecting nerd) science fiction too. I love to immerse myself in anything surreal and I very much enjoy sci-fi for this reason, especially the work of the late Philip K Dick and the late Douglas Adams. I’m 100% girl-nerd.
